Before you ask.
The questions artists, ministries and brands ask most, answered plainly.
I am not in Jamaica. Can we still work together?
Yes, and most of the process was built for exactly that. Vocal sessions run live over a remote link, you hear every take as it happens and you are directed in real time, from anywhere in the world. Files are delivered digitally, and the background vocal package in particular exists as a fully remote product. Distance changes nothing about the schedule or the standard.
How does payment work?
A deposit is agreed at booking, the schedule is signed by both sides before any money moves, and the balance is settled before final files are released. Every figure and date lives in writing from day zero, so there is never a conversation about what was agreed.
What if I want changes to the mix?
Two revision rounds are included with the master. Recording sessions are attended, in the studio or live remotely, so the performance and the direction are agreed with you while they happen. Mixing and mastering are then done heads down without you, which is how that work is done properly, and the mix comes to you for notes. Revisions refine the record, they do not rescue it.
Do I own my record?
Ownership, publishing and splits are agreed in writing before work begins, and we walk you through registering all of it after delivery. Jay-Vis Creates carries the mix and production credit on released work, the same way every professional record credits the people who built it.
What exactly do I receive at the end?
Final master in WAV and MP3, the instrumental, and a vocal down version for performances. Beyond the files, you leave with the paperwork walkthrough, copyright, splits and distribution, so the record does not just exist, it earns.
How fast can we start?
Message us and you will have a reply, a price and a proposed start date, in writing, within one working day. Once the schedule is signed, production runs ten days, first session to final master.
My song was started elsewhere and never finished. Can you take it on?
Often, yes. Send the session files or stems and we will tell you honestly what is usable and what needs to be recut before quoting. If the material is sound, the Stuck Song Rescue exists for exactly this and returns a finished master in ten days. If it is not, we will say so rather than take the work.
We are a company or agency. Do you invoice and work to procurement terms?
Yes. Jay-Vis Creates is the trading name of Jay-Vis Holdings Limited, a registered Jamaican company. We issue formal quotations and invoices, can complete standard vendor onboarding, and work to agreed payment terms where they are set out in advance. Corporate work is scoped and quoted rather than priced from the list above.
What corporate and brand work do you take on?
Voiceover and narration, jingles and audio branding, corporate video sound, event and conference audio, live broadcast engineering, and full show production including crew coordination, running orders and budget management. Work has been delivered for local and international brands across broadcast, aviation, manufacturing and education.
Can you handle a live event or conference end to end?
Yes, and this is a distinct service line rather than an add on. It covers production planning, budget tracking, crew systems, running order management, front of house and monitors, multitrack capture and a dedicated broadcast mix where required. Scope is confirmed after a site visit or a detailed brief, and quoted per event.
Can you meet a tight corporate deadline?
Sometimes, and we will tell you plainly before you commit. Turnaround depends on scope and on what is already booked in the calendar. If a deadline cannot be met to the standard we hold, we say so at the quotation stage rather than accept the work and manage expectations downward later.
